Kids Kreate

Make this fun model of the earth for science. Then you can eat your science experiment for lunch! Science doesn't get any better than when you can eat your experiments. This experiment will allow you to explain the earth's layers to your kids.

Edible Model of the Earth

What you need:

  • 1 large marshmallow
  • a peppermint candyGlobe
  • toothpick
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • small pan

Directions:

  1. Cut a small slit into the marshmallow and stick the peppermint in the middle.
  2. Put the marshmallow on the toothpick.
  3. Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave or in a small pan over low heat. Dip the marshmallow in the chocolate covering it.
  4. Set it on wax paper to cool.

This is a really fun and easy class that will help explain the earth's layer to even younger children. There is nothing more exciting then learning science through hands-on experiments.
